Slalom news & successes

Another great slalom event at Green Star Canoe Club. 

Saturday brought a day of FUN! With 40 paddlers on the water. 29 of them new, who absolutely loved it! Credit to the amazing safety team, on the water.

Many thanks are also extended to Get Doncaster Moving who funded many places on this day and made it possible for us to provide food vouchers for those paddlers. We equally benefited from support again from Tesco in our cafe….every little helps!

Many of these paddlers returned for the slalom on the Sunday.

24 paddlers competed from 4th Finningley Scouts, Kingston Kayak Club, Matlock Canoe Club and Green Star.

The following gained promotions :

Div.4 K1 M – Rupert Rawding & Seb Moran

Div.4 K1 W – Phoebe Brownbridge

Div.4 C1 W – Iona Hawksworth & Lia Wellings
